Chew more glass.

What's the hardest thing you did today?
We have more access to knowledge and more agency to build things than ever before. Yet, I've noticed that in this new world, it's incredibly easy to stop doing hard things. How often have you prompted a single agent once every 30 minutes and scrolling twitter while waiting? Be honest with yourself.
This is probably why we are a lot sadder post November 2025. What was once hard (writing hundreds to thousands of lines of code in a day) has become so easy. its difficult to define what "hard" even is in the software engineering world.
And this is a huge problem. We only grow when we do harder and harder things. If we aren't doing hard things, we aren't enhancing our skills in any meaningful way. We should be "chewing more glass". We should be tackling the hard thing head on, because we have such powerful tools at our disposal to do the easy things.
Do something hard mentally and physically for an hour each day. We are blessed to be able to work on such hard problems and be compensated well to do so. Chew more glass.
